Connect Cards to Zoom

Cards can create, reschedule, and cancel Zoom meetings from Meeting Cards. A Workspace Owner or Admin connects Zoom for the workspace. Cards only requests the Zoom permissions required to manage meetings for the person who authorizes the connection.

Before you connect

  • Sign in to Cards as a Workspace Owner or Admin.
  • Sign in to the Zoom account that should host meetings created by Cards.
  • Confirm that your Zoom account administrator allows you to add Marketplace apps. Some organizations require pre-approval.

Add Zoom to Cards

  1. Open Cards and select Admin.
  2. Select Integrations.
  3. Find Zoom and select Connect Zoom.
  4. Review the permissions shown by Zoom, then authorize Cards.
  5. After Zoom returns you to Cards, confirm that the integration shows Connected.

If Cards was already connected and you need to authorize a different Zoom user, select Reconnect and complete the same authorization flow.

Use Zoom with Meeting Cards

Create a Meeting Card and provide its title, scheduled date and time, duration, and host. When the Meeting Card is saved, Cards creates the Zoom meeting and stores the join link with the Card.

Update the meeting details in Cards to reschedule it. Cancel the Meeting Card to cancel the Zoom meeting while preserving the Cards work history. Starting, ending, or deleting the meeting in Zoom can also update the linked Meeting Card through signed Zoom event notifications.

Disconnect Zoom in Cards

  1. Open Admin, then Integrations.
  2. Find the connected Zoom integration and select Disconnect.
  3. Review the effect on future Meeting Cards and select Disconnect Zoom.

Cards revokes the OAuth connection and deletes the stored Zoom access and refresh credentials. Existing Meeting Cards and their work history remain, but Cards cannot create or update Zoom meetings until an Admin connects Zoom again.

Remove Cards from Zoom

You can also remove the app from Zoom:

  1. Sign in to the Zoom App Marketplace.
  2. Select Manage, then Added Apps.
  3. Find Cards and select Remove.
  4. Confirm the removal.

When Zoom notifies Cards of the removal, Cards disables matching Zoom connections and deletes the associated stored credentials. If the workspace still appears connected afterward, return to Admin and Integrations, select Disconnect, or contact Cards Support.

Data and permissions

Cards stores encrypted OAuth credentials while the integration is connected. It also stores the Zoom meeting identifier and join information needed to synchronize each Meeting Card. Cards does not use Zoom data for advertising or to build marketing profiles.
