Understand Pressure
Pressure collects constraints that need a decision or intervention. It helps a team negotiate reality before a quiet problem becomes an avoidable surprise.
What may create Pressure
- overdue or compressed work
- a blocking Help Card
- a review or client decision that is holding the chain
- commitments that exceed available capacity
- schedule changes that affect downstream work
Pressure is a coordination signal, not a judgment about a person. Open an item to understand the evidence, affected work, and available response.
Respond to Pressure
Choose the action that makes the plan more truthful: clarify a decision, provide help, change sequence, renegotiate scope or timing, or adjust an assignment through an authorized workflow. Do not dismiss a constraint merely to make the signal disappear.
